The micro bevel trims the wear layer at a slight angle, giving each plank a distinct appearance while also helping to reduce the visibility of subfloor irregularities.
A painted bevel is considered an upgrade from a micro-bevel finish. As the name suggests, the edges of each plank are painted with a complementary color using a specialized machine. This detail adds dimension and visual interest, highlighting the character of each board. A painted edge makes the joints more visible and decorative, creating a more realistic, wood-like appearance.
